Rutherford with his other class doctrine which denied them the gift of eternal life and made them slaves of him and his cronies the so called annointed.

Which of the Society's presidents did you like the least?
by donny inwhile i was a witness, i never liked or cared for j.f.
rutherford.
even with the society's whitewashing and trying to make him look like one who was part of the seven trumpet blasts in revelation, i could not stand the guy.

Just want to say thanks to all of the fair, thought-provoking, and balanced posters here--this board has been a huge help to me....
by Alpaca in....but there are a few who insist on just being plain nasty for no reason.. so, i am leaving for a while to concentrate on other stuff that i need to do.
right now, it is a degree of negativity that i just don't need in my life.
if you cannot post about even a benign subject without getting vicious comments it is time for a break.

Alpaca I've read your profile and we have many things in common. Have you ever considered that being nasty for no reason may be an expression of hurt bitterness anger or even jealously. There are many roads to complete recovery from this abusive religion. Some lash out at others like wounded animals We can cut the WT tree down yet the roots are still there. You want to leave have a rest I respect that I found it necessary at times to free my mind to think about something anything but these poisonous roots tugging at my heart and mind. That's your choice. But you also have another choice when it comes to being affected by negative nasty people. I say this in all humility for I know I am on very slippery ground offering advice when it has not been sought. Alpaca you don't have to let them ruin your day, chase you away and stop you from enjoying all the positive experiences you have had on this board. You have a choice. Hope to get to know you one day. All the Best Bob

Where else will you go?
by wary inthe po comes to see me and talks round the houses trying to find out what my problem is.. so i tell him "look its something i have to sort out for myself and i dont want to destroy your faith and make you start questioning so id rather not tell you".
he already knew cos the first elder went to his house the second he left mine and told him about [what i thought was a private conversation between mates,] my issues.. so he proceeds to tell me a story of a brother he knows who was always very studious and knowledgable about all prophecies and the details of our beliefs.. well the guy suddenly stopped attending meetings last year, dont know why but the po seemed pretty upset about it as he was an old friend.. so he says " i said to him, but john, where will you go now on sunday afternoons,!
and really wary where else will you go?".

Geez I'm a newbe and it seems like nobody is listening I pointed out that it was a false dilemma before BizzyBee did: then Ten years and Parakeet expanded on it. I don't expect to be greeted like a long lost friend and love bombed like I would be if I went to the K Hall for the first time. Thats not real, but I would like to play with you. I'm the kid standing there on the sidelines with his own bat and ball

If we didn't accept the WT woldview in the first place we would not be asking ourselves this question A false dilemna The WT has used that hook for over a centurywhile everyone else was enjoying and living their lives. Where is the pub? I'll be in that.

Doesn't matter how hard I try I always end up with a bag of odd socks I can't for the life of me find their mates. I suspect I might have Gremlins in my washing machine. What can I do? I'm desperate. I dimly recall that if it was demonic problem I should call on THE NAME but I don't know how many times I should shout Jehovah at my washing machine 7 or 10 ? I remember 7 stood for heavenly completeness and 10 for earthly Like they come from heaven right?but then they got kicked down here and now the little buggers are in my washing machine. I havn't been here long but I've noticed you guys have kept up with the new light. Can you help me. I want to get this right the first time. I don't want to chase them out of my washing machine only to find that they have then moved into my beer fridge. I can live with wearing odd socks but I just gotta keep my beer cold

About 1993 Mosaic and compuserve???I think it was like a restricted internet service Thanks to the x witnesses who were so quick to utilize this medium I was on the way to recovery. I'd like to add their material and advice was factual well supported without a hint of bitterness just right for me I knew something was terribly wrong but I did not really want to believe that the religion was. I had a lot to lose. So if any of you are listening Thanks heaps I have since spent countless hours helping others: people in no mans land and found it to be a very frustrating experience. So I really admire you. Love you all Robert

For the inactive: Five reasons why JWs encourage you to go back
by truthseeker infor those of us who are inactive and receiving encouragment to go back to meetings, what do you think their reasons are?.
here are five suggestions:.
) they genuinely think you will die at armaggedon.

They don't encourage you if they lable you an apostate. I met one of the elders who gave me the boot at the shopping centre. We were having a conversation, all the time he was trying to work out where he knew me from. When he realized who I was : he mumbled something about Satan and took off.

Introvert or Extrovert
by FormerMormon inon exmo sites, we have done polls.
people who leave the lds cult lean heavily to the introverted side.
i suspect many extroverts have too much to lose socially to allow themselves to think.
